The Việt Nam Journalists’ Association (VJA) and the Confederation of Thai Journalists (CTJ) reached agreements on their annual cooperation framework. They also explored new opportunities to expand activities between journalists from both nations.
During his visit to Thailand from November 25 to 29, VJA Chairman Lê Quốc Minh highlighted the potential for Việt Nam-Thailand media cooperation to become a regional model. Minh met with CTJ leaders, Thai media groups, and representatives of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minh visited Chonburi Province, meeting with Pattaya City Mayor Poramase Ngampiches and local businesses. He emphasized the growing substance and strength of press collaboration between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to enhance journalist exchanges and expertise sharing, with a focus on cultural and sports activities. These efforts aim to celebrate milestones, including the 100th anniversary of Việt Nam’s Revolutionary Press Day in 2025.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phạm Việt Hùng welcomed the VJA delegation and pledged full support for Việt Nam’s press agencies in Thailand, fostering further cooperation and mutual development.
